Salmon Sushi Topped With Salmon Roe

If you are a Sushi and Sashimi lover, this post is meant for you. During our trip to Bangkok we visited Fuji Japanese Restaurant at Siam Paragon and this place is a haven for Sushi lovers. We were absolutely spoilt for choices as their menu is huge. The dish we bring to you today is the “Salmon Sushi topped with Salmon Roe”.  Fresh salmon which melts with every bite, wrapped around a perfectly sized roll with just the right amount of sticky rice topped with salmon roe with the colour of the setting sun.

Salmon Tsustyle Sashimi (The Salmon Carpaccio)

During our last trip to Bangkok, my wife treated me to TSU Japanese Restaurant at the JW Marriot for my birthday, which is one of the top five restaurants in Bangkok on Trip Advisor. This experience was truly the epitome of fine dining, sleek and chic in ambience and delicacies exploding with flavour. Beautifully created by Japanese Head Chef Yukio Takeda, we present to you the SALMON TSUSTYLE SASHIMI. This fresh and soft Norwegian Salmon Carpaccio is perfectly crafted with onion cress, garlic, fresh ginger and splashed with Yuzu soy sauce, olive and sesame oil. The Salmon, which has been beautifully treated can be had as an appetizer and is perfect to bring you up to a main. We highly recommend this dish and if you are a fan of Salmon, then it is one that should not be missed.

The Elegant Lobster Bisque

Up for fine dining in Bangkok? Head over to the Plaza Athenee and pay a visit to Bangkok’s hidden gem, “The Reflexions” for an evening to remember.  Head Chef Roxanne Lange has truly created a sublime selection of dishes for her menu. However, the one that completely blew us away, was The Lobster Bisque with corn ravioli and baby fennel. Their bisque was smooth, creamy, well-seasoned, packed with flavor and the lobster was cooked to perfection; tender soft and melt-in-your mouth delicious. It truly is the best of the ocean in one irresistibly creamy soup.  Not only does the dish taste amazing but it looks like a piece of heaven on your plate. A meal in itself, this soup is the perfect selection to start a meal, but could be filling enough to be an entree by itself.

P.s. A ridiculously talented pianist will awe you with his performance of almost any classic you can think of.

Grilled Delicious Dory

Love Sea food? Salmon, Shrimps, Sea Bass, Calamari, Tuna & specially Dori??

Well if you are a Dori lover just like me this dish is just for you. In my opinion Dori is a fish that tastes great what ever you do with it. Be it Deep fried, Oven Baked or Grilled, Dory tastes awesome in every possible way. The dish I am going to talk about is named: “Small Flame” by Manhattan Fish Market which I have tasted in Central World, Bangkok. This elegant dish is composed of flaming Prawns with grilled dory fillet on a bed of Garlic Herb rice, chips and hot veggies. Before serving the dish, they flame grill it with a blow torch in front of you, which makes it even more lucrative.

The Pitch Black Softie

Fond of colourful softies?? How about the colour “Black”?? Interesting isn’t it? If you are a traveler who loves bizarre and unorthodox food, or if you just love to try different shades of food and love to make a memory out of it; “Demi-Concept” is the place where you might want to stop by. “Demi-Concept” is one of many food carts sitting in front of the “Platinum Fashion Mall”.  They usually have two versions of this: One is pure black and another one is the Mix. The pure black softie is actually simple vanilla flavoured ice cream made black by using coconut ash. For the mix they use different flavoured ice cream, e.g: mango or matcha (Green-tea) to make it look absolutely stunning. They also use different types of cookies to make it look yummier.

The delicious “Nutella Toast”

This is the sole reason for me going to Bangkok over and over again. I am just in love with this simple looking food. This is another wonder child of the infamous dessert cafe “After You“. There are other different flavours of toasts in After You cafe but, the “Nutella Toast” is my personal favourite. The taste of butter, Nutella and the ice cream will make you delighted just after the first bite. It’s a perfect combination of “fire and ice” (Ok I am a bit over excited now! Let’s just say Hot and Cold).

I would highly recommend this dessert to any dessert lover.

There are two sizes available for this lovely food, you can choose either one depending on your hunger. There are several options for topping. The first one is mango topped and second one is without topping. Both are yum. I will travel to Bangkok any day just to have this delight.

The “Kiss Kiss”

Just look at it! It’s an absolute beauty is it not?

This is a best seller of our favorite Dessert Cafe “After You“. You can find it at almost every big shopping complex in Bangkok; Central Plaza, Terminal 21, MBK…you just name it! (Total 27 outlets!!!) Usually you need to stand in a que just to get a seat in this Dessert Cafe. Staff are super friendly and give awesome recommendations. It’s a must try and tastes best when shared with your loved one. (hint: It’s humongous in size & hard to finish when you try it alone 😛 )

This is basically a Strawberry flavored Kakigori. Kakigori is similar to a snow cone but has a much smoother lighter ice consistency- much like fresh fallen snow.
