Down by the white sands and blue-green waters of Samui in Thailand, hidden in a far corner of the island is Jahn, situated at the stylish Conrad Koh Samui. This is a dessert truly divine, and anyone with a sweet tooth, or not would fall in love with. This little packed up delight looks spectacular set up on the base of a real coconut and served with freshly made coconut ice-cream and coconut shavings. A perfect end to any meal.

The Chicken Satay

If I were to make a list of my top ten favorite dishes, the Chicken Satay would surely make that list. Somehow, no matter how many times I try this dish, I never seem to get tired of it. Satay, or sate in Indonesian spelling, is a dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce. It is a dish of Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. This dish is available at almost any Thai or Indonesian restaurant but an amazing Chicken Satay is a bit difficult to find. The dish in the picture is all the way from Koh Pha Ngan in Thailand from a little but powerhouse shop named Jip Shop. The chicken satay here was very well cooked; just so that the chicken was charred but yet remained juicy. It was served with thick and flavorful peanut sauce which added a different dimension to the taste. Finally they gave a Thai Chili paste on the side (Nam Prik Pao) which was the icing on the cake.

Whole Fish With Green Curry

We have tried various different types of Thai curries with chicken, duck, mussels, beef and prawns but the dish we bring to you today is a bit different. Using one of the most famous curries, the green curry, the Beach Lounge restaurant situated in the lush islands of Koh Pha Ngan bring to you a twist. The whole fish is deep fried and then cooked with a beautiful, smooth, rich and creamy green curry sauce which is bursting with flavour. Out of all the green curries tried before, this is the first time we have come across a green curry prepared in this fashion and I must say it was very delicious. Friendly service, affordable prices, and mouthwatering curry; the perfect combination to a hearty meal.

Combination Of Barbecue Chicken And Duck

Another classic Chinese favorite; we present to you a succulent combination of barbecue chicken along with barbecue duck,  marinated overnight and made just so the meat is perfectly tender, oozing with flavor. This dish tastes wonderful when paired with steamed rice or noodles and make sure to add a bit of the Four Seasons Chili oil if you like your heat. The dish in the picture is from the famous international chain, The Four Seasons restaurant in Siam Paragon in Bangkok. They serve a number of combinations i.e. the dish in the picture is a two meat combination but you can also choose a three meat combination if you wish, which turns out to be cheaper.

The Beef Teppanyaki

If you are in for a bit of theater with your food, then let us take you down to the party beaches of Koh Pha Ngan for a night to remember. Nestled away in a corner of the island is Yukinoya, a posh and chic fine-dining restaurant serving the crème de la crème of Japanese cuisine. The dish we bring to you today is the Beef Tenderloin Teppanyaki. This is their signature premium imported Australian Tenderloin with hibachi charred vegetables and lush garlic rice. The way the chef entertains you whilst he prepares is a feat to watch itself. Exceptionally talented, he will awe you with his skills and tricks and present you with a dish that not only looks great but is just divine, with the beef, so soft that it just melts away in your mouth leaving you craving for more. If you are up for an experience, this should be in your bucket list.  We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at this lovely Japanese restaurant, amazing service and outstanding atmosphere however, all the credit goes to the chef, Som, as he made it a night to remember.

The Popular Thai Red Curry

Thai Red Curry and Thai Green Curry are two of the most popular dishes in Thailand and believe me or not, most places prepare these dishes almost equally good. We have previously posted about green curry and this time, I am going to describe this beautiful Red curry dish prepared by none other than the “Yana Restaurant“. “Yana” is one of my personal favorite places for Thai food not just because they provide Halal food, because their food is always packed with flavor. Just look at it, stuffed with chicken and all the necessary herbs to give that authentic Thai punch. There are three choices for main ingredient: Chicken, Beef or Shrimp. The soup is made with red curry paste and rich coconut milk. Flavors from all the herbs add a rich aroma which makes overall dish a memorable one.
